Service Description

This is the luxury version where you stay at the 5 star Palace Hotel and enjoy open vehicle safari drives. Day 1: We pick you up at your hotel near O. R. Tambo International Airport and drive to the Cradle to start the 3 day Cradle of Human Kind & Pilanesberg tour of a journey back in time. We visit the Tumulus building to browse the interactive displays, have lunch (own cost) at the Tumulus restaurant and then go to the Sterkfontein Caves to see where world-acclaimed fossils were discovered. We overnight at the Palace of the Lost City Hotel at the Sun City Resort. Unlimited free access to the Valley of Waves, buffet breakfast included. (Lunch and dinner at own cost.) Day 2: We go to the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, “The Volcano That Gave Birth to a Game Reserve” for a game drive where you will have opportunities to see the Big 5 in their natural habitat. We spend the rest of the day at the Sun City and Lost City Resorts. With hundreds of things to offer, you have a huge variety to do, from family fun to adrenaline-fueled adventures. Sun City has something for everyone to enjoy. We spend the night at the Palace of the Lost City Hotel at the Sun City Resort. (or similar) Unlimited free access to the Valley of Waves, buffet breakfast included. (Lunch and dinner at own cost.) Optional hot air ballooning possible. Day 3: Starting with a game drive through the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, we leave the reserve on our way to the Hartbeespoortdam area, where we stop over at the Monate Citrus Cellar for a taste of home-brewed mampoer spirits. You will also have the opportunity to visit AFRICAN arts and craft stores for shopping. A visit to the Voortrekker Monument or Union Buildings is followed on your way back to the O.R. Tambo Airport, or you join us on another tour.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation 60 days or more before departure: Amount paid less upfront costs. These upfront costs are disclosed to you when you use the Site to complete the transaction and may represent out of pocket expenses of TourSouthAfrica for accommodation bookings, transportation deposits and other additional expenses. Cancellation 59 to 31 days before departure: 50% of tour price, if paid in full. Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the tour: 100% cancellation fee. (no refund) You are strongly encouraged to obtain cancellation insurance. In certain circumstances, this will cover the cost of cancellation. In some cases, TourSouthAfrica may cancel a tour due to weather or other circumstance. In the event that TourSouthAfrica cancels the tour, or does not deliver it as promised, You may choose between a rescheduling of the tour OR a 50% refund of all monies paid or a credit towards an alternative tour. If you choose to accept a credit, the difference in the cost of the alternative tour will be refunded by TourSouthAfrica or paid by You, as applicable. TourSouthAfrica is not responsible for any incidental expenses you may have incurred in reliance on the tour booked on the Site, including, without limitation, expenses arising from the purchase of visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights, or of any loss of enjoyment.
